Length of 4 and 5spd trannies?

well, i have a SA 4spd in my car, and i'm getting 2 good FB 5spd's (non-SE) for trade of my 4spd.

question: do i need a different driveshaft? or are the 4/5 speed trannies the same length?

Same length driveshaft-wise. Probably the same mount position too. The old ribcases had a different mount position from 4 to 5 speed, so just compare yours, and I'm 99% sure they'll be the same. Infact, I just compared a 4 speed SA to a 5 speed FB (complete with remote shifter) last night. You'll wanna watch out for that. Maybe swap tail housings?
