Legroom?

Im very interested in RX-7's, I have never been in one, and before I take my newfound obsession any further, I was wondering how roomy the cockpit is? I am 6'8", I have tried to drive a miata, and they are way too small...

could someone let me know if the RX-7 has a little more to offer in the legroom department?

Thanks--
Pete

I'm 5'4" so I have no trouble in mine. But Iv'e heard of a lot of guys on this forum say that they are pretty huge and fit just fine. There was a thread on big guys fitting in rx-7's a while ago. Do a search for it. Anyways, the first generation seats lift you a lot higher than 2nd or 3rd gen. seats do. 2nd gen. seats bolt in directliy and I've heard a lot of guys say that they couldn't fit well in their rx-7 before they put in the 2nd gen seats, but now they fit just fine.
Get an rx-7. They are very fun to drive and you won't regret it.

I'm 6'3'' and my head has about two or three inches of space between it and the roof. You may need to put 2nd gen seats in it, or bolt some race seats to the floor or something.

i've encountered no real difficulties, i'm about 5'10" and if i sit straight up and take the targa top off my car, the top 1/2 inch of my head sticks out into the breeze But thats with the seat in it's fully upright position.

Chances are, you'd be fine, and if not, just grab and adjustable SPARCO chair from an auto shop, those things are tight.

cheers'

well my bro is 6'7" and he barely fits. unless you get new seats or something id plan on impregnating the steering wheel cause thats about how youre gonna fit. im 6'2" and fit fine. who knows you might fit fine, cause hes got legs like a praying mantis. good luck, its worth the tite squeeze as are a few other things...

I am 6'4" and my hair brushes the roof, except when I have the glass sunroof in. With the bins behind the seats, you cannot use th recline the seat trick.
