My old clutch didn't grip the best, but my tires gripped VERY good. So I could do a 5500RPM clutch drop and get no wheelspin, the car would take off like a rocket too

I have no clue where I'll launch at now though. Same tires, but a dual friction 6 puck clutch with racing pressure plate, and over twice the power

Sorry. I was trying to point out that its a pointless question. Too many variables. Tires, engine powerband, horsepower, suspension, car weight........etc...

i launch at 4000 and get a **** ton of tire spin. but i also have bald tires. when they were still good i could do a 4000 and grip with just a minor tire noise. but right now i'm enjoying the tires spinning. i can scratch the tires in 3rd gear. kinda fun

on my -SE w/ 205/45-16 AVS ES100s and a centerforce dual friction I launch about 3200...

tonight I'm going back to the track so I'm going to try to drop my 60ft from 2.31 by trying a little higher launch.

I'll let ya know results.

When my dad used to run the Hoosier's he could launch about 5000 with minimal tire spin. Man, Hoosiers were fun. They were DOT approved too. Nothing like driving home in a down pore in a 200 HP (or so, heh) rearwheel drive car that has 2 grooves on the tire. Can you say, "Hydroplane?"
