gls-se injectors

i was just wondering how much power the stock injectors can handle. i have rb streetport exhaust, soon to have intake, and removing 5th and 6th port sleeves soon (another 8-10hp). can the stock injectors handle that? i dont know the exact hp that i have but with that stuff i would guess about 165-170.

Im not sure how much they can handle, but i wouldn't be worried about it with those mods.

The stock SE injectors are a good size.. which is why TII guys use them for secondaries.
Removing the sleeves will not add horsepower...if anything it will reduce torque.

YEP WILL REDUCE THE DAMN low end torque... not unless your pushing more air into the chamber then there's no worries...

You won't max out the stock setup with it being unported or NA. I'm removing my sleeves as well.....I really do hate that chinsey setup. I'm not worried about losing torque though

I heard that the best thing to do for the intake is use upper intake manifold from the s4 N/A cars. It was designed better and will offer more airflow which equals more horsepower. When I read the article the person who did it was also using the pineapple racing sleeves and wired the ports open. About the injectors, they are 680cc a piece.

You should just use your air-pump to actuate the 5th and 6th ports.
You will have to do some modifications to the s4 manifold to get it to work. Do a search and you should find some info. Another way for more power is the AFM off of an s4. It is supposed to yeild a few extra horsepower according to the "Mazda RX-7 Performance Handbook". I suggest that everybody buy one, it is well worth the money.

I was told they didn't work. Different circuitry....I wanted to use one, so I could easily use the cold air intake adapters for the FC's, but everyone said that the AFM isn't compatable. Where did you hear that it gives horsepower?

Hey NLC how did you wire ur aux. ports open? My air pump is causing nothing but problems ever since i ran over a rock and ripped apart the piping.
As for the S4 intake manifold. Is that just straight bolt on? I just got an S4 with perfect good shape intake manifold and if it is an easy install then i am game.

lol, i used paperclips. i took off the acuators and there is a thing that turns to open the ports. i turned it so they were open, then put paperclips around that and the other pin that sticks out.

the afm, is exactly the same on the s4 and gsl-se. it won't give you anymore hp.

Argh, i am an idiot... Pics? Please? Because my air pump is causing so much problems and if i could just wire teh aux ports open instead of always having to make sure my air pump is working properly, it would really take a load off my shoulders.
