Latest Project

Just thot you might like to know what I've been up to lately. I'll let the pic speak for itself.

(BTW - Yes, those are brazing rods sticking from the filler hole. This is just an experiment on an overheated, warped, blued junk part)

DAAAAAMN, dude, you've been holding out on me!

Actually up in Elyria where I work, there's a guy with an SA (I think it's an SA, it's been a while) with the widebody kit on it... as much as I hate rice, there is something old-school killer stylin' about the way it looks, like a 70's IMSA racer. So I won't call it rice per se, although the car does sound stock. It needs that brap-attack bridge port thing goin' on!

/me weighs the cost of new quarters and rear panels vs. a widebody kit and 15x12 wheels

/me scoots off to check the link... anybody got a Kleenex?

IMSA widebody kit from Erebuni or any of the other knockoffs.
I'm not sure where the owner originaly got the kit from, its been in storage for 6 years.

I wouldn't hold out on yah! its one of the extreme back burner project, I'm really waiting for a local guy to give me a deal on his Peripheral Port 13B and TEC 2 and drop it in, stripped, for the track only

but that won't happen for awhile, hehe

13B PP? What do you mean track-only, you live in a non-emissions county so you could register that beast, right? CJ drives (drove?) a PP on the street a lot and said it was pretty driveable.

Here's what I hope to mate my latest project to:
(give ya a hint: 3.909 final drive + 1.7 or so gear reduction, and check out how many output shafts it has... )

I don't think it would physically fit in a '7. The engine's centerline would be roughly where the radiator is.

Only one car it would fit in... the same car it came out of.... a Subaru. I doubt that I'll ever pull off the swap, because it'd take massive effort for a car that could never be street legal, unless I was somehow able to get a Subaru more than 25 years old (so it's emissions exempt). But man, that would be INSANE... sliding and spinning four fat tires to the tune of a bridge port beat.
