Keeping my 83 paint original brown

Well i figured if i get my car painted im most likely going to go with keeping it brown, which is the original color. I was just wondering if anyone out there has any pictures of a brown 1st gen all done up?

brown

i'd call your car bronze. Brown is an ugly dark color on 84's. keep it the same color - looks good.

Here's some pictures of the "ugly dark color on 84's". Actually it's a rich golden brown with metallic flake, very nice in the sun and a color you get to like if you have one in good condition.

I very much like your original color but wouldn't call it brown either. Maybe light bronze? A couple old photos of my 2 7s & a friend's in that color:

Yeah.. that's not brown. That's gold or bronze IMO. That color is very nice if you do it right. I've seen some really good looking 1st gens that color.

Good color. Most colors, when nicely finished and kept good, are very attractive.

Nice looking car.

Also, what is going to look sharp w/ your interior color? Its a bitch to change all that. Unless it is black you have limited options, IM professional O.

yea...well the interior is really more like a tanish...it can probaly go with alot of colors, but i think ill stick to the original color. Plus if i prep and mask everything off rite it will be alot cheaper to paint

i am also for keeping your "maya gold" color with brown interior. i dont see too many of these except mine everyday.. mostly i see black or a darker brown.. so keep your orginal color! plus ur car looks great! how about interior shots?
