Angry jerk cut me off now I have flat-spotted tires

I was speeding up to pass a box truck and the f*ckr cut me off! I had NO room! I had to stand on the brakes big time..... besides the fact that the jerk almost killed me I now I have freak'n flat spots. Damn! thud... thud... thud... thud... thud I guess I'm gonna have to "burn 'em off" to round 'em out again. Any other suggestions?

find a race tire shop that shaves tires. shave them till they're round again.

Well it is easy, you just rev a little dump the clutch and nail the gas. It will smoke them about 30 feet LOL

I'd be surprised if he even had to dump the clutch...... a little gas would probably do it.

New tires, or live with it.

Shaving the tires won't be cheap, and if the flat spotting is bad enough to really feel then the tread would have to be REALLY chopped, leaving with practically nothing.

Actually, burnouts won't make it much better, because the tires will hop up a little after it launches out of the float spot, and you end up with an even worse flat spot

Yeah, I did quite possibly the biggest burnout ever done by a 2.4L slushbox Grand Am after doing a nice ebrake slide in my mom's old car.

I put the severly flat spotted rear tires up front, roasted them on a hill for about 35 minutes total (about 2-3 minutes at a time, except for one that was about 10 minutes, since the other ones had little effect).

I just wound up with galled up, melted looking, flat-spotted tires.

look at it this way, if you locked 'em up that bad and didn't get the car hit ... you're quite lucky replacing just Sumitomo's and not an Rx-7 ...

boy, if i had nickel for everytime an 18-wheeler decided to change lanes on me ...

i'm just EXTREMELY glad this wasn't a crash story ...

peace,
