The jdm 12a in a naturally aspirated form creates 130 hp but the turbocharged model creates 160 and is fuel injected( n/a motor is carbed). if you can get your hands on the turbo 12a do it, it is well worth it as there are very minimal step to take to get 240 hp out a just about stock set up. All it takes is a custom front mount, decent blow off valve, boost controller. The turbo 12a can apparently take up to around 12 psi of boost comfortably.

i would have to dissagree a bit on the bbmac.... if i had the 12at motor i would first upgrade the turbo to an s5, and get gsl-se injectors. and tune it to about 8-10 PSI. 12 is pushing it. my cousin owns a 12at and has it on his FB...great motor, he has the rayjay turbo kit for it with a nice holley with some other supporting mods including a sweet streetport. he is boosting 8lbs, and its good enough for street use.
