12a with auxiliary port actuator

hi everyone,

im trying to get my 81 going... So i bought another 81 car thats been sitting awhile from a friend who lost intrest in the car.... its in bad shape, but the motor runs very strong! As i was pulling the motor out, i noticed that the motor had under the intake, some aux port actuators (2) ... I looks like the ones that are on the 13b engines! but its a 12a! Did they come with those because my 81 that i have dont have those on the intake..i can post some pix if this is odd?? is this normal or am i just seeing things?? would this be a 4 or 6 port or niether??? please help this new person!!

Hey not to rain on your parade, but if you decide to go the simple route of not using the 6port design let me know. I would love to get my hands on that intake... I am doing up an SE engine with 12A endplates to make a 4 port 13B and was going to build up the 12A 6port for a truck...

because you lot got a 13b instead !

the turbo wasn't imported as it wasn't seen to be in keeping with what the american market wanted ... ie. torque. + I'm not sure if it would have met the emmissions standards of the day?

to be fair though they never sold those engines anywhere other than japan so its not like the US lost out ( the GSL-SE can hardly be called losing out LOL )

Plus America and America only got the Rotary Engine PickUp. 13b 4-port and 4.625, it's a 5/8 ton truck!

It's all tradeoffs......

geeze I heard that the 12a 6 port was only used for two years, mainly because it sucked so much. Again thats what I've heard, I dont got **** to back it up tho.

Oh yeah, and something else japan didnt get. They didnt ever get a 6 port 13b in a rx-7. There was no gsl-se in japan, and all the FC's in japan were turbo.
