Question Its Flooding!!

I have put a 79 stock carb on a 82 motor and i try to start it and once i get the engine running(not running under 2500 rps, wont idle) and then turn it off the carb will empty out the bowls, i figuared somehting was wrong with the carb so i then fixed my other 82 carb and put that on the motor, the motor was already sorta flooded fromt the first carb and then i tried firing it with the 82 and it did the same thing, puked about half the bowl of gas into the carb to flood it more, what have i hooked up wrong, is it just 2 sour carbs, please help

What kinda fuel pump? Stock? Either too much pressure, or sticky needle valves from sitting with old gas in it. tap the banjo bolts to try and get the needles to seat.

everything i beleive is stock we bought a new fuel filter, we did take the top half of the carb off and cleaned the bowls out with rad and air pressure, how can you tell if the valves are sticky? and if the banjo bolt is the bolt in the middle of the carb we taped it, we taped it alright haha. could it be a float bowl vent solenoid that needs to be hooked up, i have no idea where that is but that was also sugested, thanks
