I bet these in general are cheap to buy, just need to find a good source. These have to be very common among 1980's cars.

I bought these and they are perfect!
The design is far superior to stock.
The hole size is 5/16 so any clip and seat replacement of this size works. These were just a great price and had them in 3 days. I recommend for sure! Atkins wanted $4 for a single grommet! Crazy...

Almost looks like it could be somewhat easily diy'd, if you have the time you could get some sheet metal roughly to the same thickness you could cut the sheet metal to desired length/ width use needle nose pliers to bend into shape and file down edges. wont be running out of the clips anytime soon if you get a decent size of the sheet metal.
