I don't know if I have a bias oppinion, but I am an NCAA div. 1 athlete, and I love almost every sport there is, and love watching them either on tv, or in person. Soccer, football, track and field, wrestling (not wwf/nwo/whatever crap), car racing, kickboxing, mud wrestling , golf, karate, etc. etc. etc. anyway, guess i'm an exception, although most PRO sports I don't care for too much, I'd much rather watch college sports, where we play/run/jump/shoot/tackle/etc. for pride, not money.
just my $.02
just my $.02

Man, same for me, never watched sports, prefer to mess with women, cars, and ATVs (maybe not in that order). Would rather do it then watch it. Can't name the first baseman for the cubs in 1990, but I can tell you the horsepower of a 1990 mustang GT or how to adjust the valves in a YFZ450. Different strokes for different folks

I'm with KC, I can take it or leave it, which is none of the above on this poll. I would rather be working on my 7 than watching or even playing sports. I used to enjoy play pick up basketball, but at 52 I've lost my touch. Also, I'm just too busy these days.
Still, I can be convinced to pop open a beer, watch the World Series, men's NCAA Final Four, NBA playoffs, Kentucky Derby, Super Bore or even golf, if Tiger Woods is performing miracles. (Not bowling or soccer though).
As far as car racing is concerned, other than the Indianapolis 500, I must confess I'm one of those sickos that only enjoys watching the crashes.
But this post certainly says something about RX-7 drivers, an ecclectic bunch, for sure.

I like watching hockey live for the fights, that's it. Like watching oval track racing live, not on TV. Wish we had some road courses around here. Pretty much can't stand any other sports. Like to work on and drive my cars, but since i work so much, I have been paying lately to get the work done. Otherwise I ride my fourwheeler, snowmachine, kayaking, hiking and plan on getting back into mountain biking this summer if time allows.

While I like college sports and almost lost my mind when both mens and womens UConn Huskies basketball teams won the title in the same year (Can I get a boom-shakalaka? I grew up in CT!), I like pro even better.
After all, they (make that "we" the fans) pay the pros because they're the best at what they do. I like watching the best.

I suppose, for me, the distinction needs to be made between college and professional sports. Football and baseball are the only sports I watch, but I only watch pro baseball and college football. i suppose that's because I lived around St. Louis until I was 8, and then moved to Lincoln, Nebraska.

I watch no sports played in TV studios. That eliminates about 99% of the hysterical show-biz junk sports calculated to draw ones attention to spurious and trashy commercial products.
After a lifetime involved with various and many sports I only watch college baseball (Stanford, at the glorious Sunken Diamond with the co-ed student body sunning itself decorously on the 3rd base hill), and the Tour de France.
College baseball has all the sights and sounds and play associated with the history of baseball. Timeless. And I forgive the ping of the aluminum bat. An imminently pleasant sport, which leaves enough time between significant events to allow one to chat with chums, and keep a watchful eye on the aforementioned student body. The level of excitement is, thankfully, not so high as to preclude one from noticing the lovely ambience: the blue sky, the green grass, the crisp white uniforms, the chatter of the players, the subtle movements of the players, the cat-and-mouse between batter and pitcher. Then, a shot sent towards the hole, the shortstop catlike moves to his backhand and pegs the white ball with increible accuracy toward the first baseman! American ballet!
To see the Tour de France one ought be in France during July to watch the superb TV coverage, with an occasional trip to a village that the tour passes through. I'm privileged to watch in my wifes house in the south of France so that the entire beautiful atmosphere surrounds me. For, you see, the Tour is really about the lovely villages and lanes and hills of the French countryside, which this sterling sports event passes through. And one can make the case that this is the finest athletic event of all, with it's unique combination of team and individual effort, sprint and endurance strength, brute and adroit skills, etc. And the excellent French TV coverage complements and exemplifies this well, by contrast to US TV coverage, whose obsession with 'highlights' eviscerates every sport of it's context and reduces everything to an undifferentiated mush of hysteria.
I've learned a lot of things in my 67 years, so if you have any more questions about lifes qualities just apply here. Like, what is the sportiest car on the road?

I used to play football and baseball (safety in football and a cathcher/1st base baseball). I generally watch football on the tube and follow baseball when I can..
I do enjoy playing both. I also love going to minor league games. Good bang for the buck. I also enjoy the occasional pick up game tackle-no pads football every once in a while (however it is getting much, much harder to pick up my middle aged *** of the turf thesedays)
I can definately do without all the commercialized crap tho..

love the braaaap
I watch hockey, golf, road racing (lemans), rallying, and drag racing. I dislike basketball, baseball, soccer, football, wrestling (WWF style. I would call this acting more than a sport), and almost all others. I'm not very sports oriented. On the other hand, I'm great at techy stuff. I love computers and programing, cars, working with wood (sometimes), making great stereo systems, and almost anything to do with technology.

pretty much any team sports bore the hell out of me. Sometimes ill watch boxing if im flipping channels, or skateboarding.
i think its a gimme here that everyone watches car racing, this being an automotive forum and all... :-P
Not to offend any of you sports guys out there. but i think one reason most of us 1st gen guys dont watch sports is well.... lets face it.. we're nerds. the SA/FB is a pretty nerdy car, as far as sports cars go. Its old, kinda high matanince, was never extremly popular. And i dont know about you, but i bought my first one cause i wanted a car that wasnt very common. But with good potentintal. I like old cars, also another charateristic of being a little nerdy.
so yeah, i kinda forgot where i was going with this. i did have a point when i started... but ill just leave it at that.
