Exclamation Intake ?

will a intake (and stock carb) off an 1984 with a 12A fit my 13B, and would the stock carb be enough to feed my 13B?

Adding to trochoid's answer, what 13B? 4-port or 6-port? Either way, the answer is no.

There is always a way to make stuff work. Not trying to start anything, but what is wrong with your car, and why do want to change it? Is it performance issues, or just trying to get a car going? The main thing you are going to need is to give us as much info you can so we can help you. WE strive to please.

well, I've always had "issues" with my 36 dcd carbs, and i just thought if the stock 12A intake/carb would fit i could do away with the double setup and have only one carb to rebuild and tune, it's mainly for reliability and economic reasons, and the fact that I've been looking for a place that sells new air cleaners for over 5 years now and still can't find'em and the fact that weber carbs are an odd ball carb that no one really understands how to tune and that's bout it

If you have the twin DCD's, you probably have a 4 port. The old 74-78 13B intake and carb should be a direct bolt on. They are around, the trick is finding them. Jay-Tech may be still making a Holley style intake for that engine. If you had a 6-port, RB makes a UIM for the 2 barrels Weber/Mikuni style carbs.

I can study and read about tuning carbs until I am blind, I still think half of tuning a carb is either a Zen or Voodoo thing, or a combination of both.

i run the twin weber down draft and love them!!! it idles high but pulls like there is nobodys business... the butterfly shafts bushing wears out and causes an air leak which will run your motor lean if you don't already run it rich... what is wrong w/ yours??? btw there is an adapter made that will allow a 12a 4 port set up too be installed on a 13b 4 port engine, i have thought of this route also.... e-mail me

Yea, I've got the twin setup as well- they're amazing! When tuned right of course, I just rebuilt mine, and wow...amazing.

And for the air filter I beleive I have a link to a place that sells them but I have to find out where I saved it, or you can always try your luck on ebay and ask one of the vendors on there if they would lnow where to get them.

Also there is a nice Mikuni 44 w/manifold & more thats for a 13b 4port engine going for pretty cheap in the for sale section. So you could sell your and get that if you want.

if you get an rx4 manifold, than you can use a nikki on a 4-port 13b. this is the setup i am running on my large SP 13b. the nikki wont work in it stock condition though, at the minimum you need to up the primary jets, holly dominator air bleeds(10-32) work as jets in our carbs(or you could drill them yourself with a drill press).
