injectors have a problem
injectors have a problem
on question ive looked in the books for this and the internet. but i was wondering how much power do you have to have on the F and H ports on the computer to get the injectors to throw fuel? i have around 1.5v on each how much do i need i was thinking 12v but is this right?
Battery voltage is most likey not the issue. Several of the component signals on the SE's ecu work on 5 volts. If the battery was only putting out 1.5 volts, the starter wouldn't even crank. I have doubts that the starter solenoid would even click at 1.5 volts.
no everything else has 12v but that i dont know whats wrong but im going to check to see if the injector plugs and everything are hooked up properly. and the starter does crank wive had the car started with starter fluid just wont stay started with out any gas being put in to the engine
I had a problem after my swap where my injectors wouldn't run. For some reason I swapped the leading and trailing ignitors and it worked.....I know if the computer doesn't see a trailing coil/ignitor pulse it won't start anything.

OK here is where I'm at all the volts are where they need to be; according to the book at least. I know the ignition system works because i can get the car to start with starter fluid. so I've heard the engine run even the F and H ports on the computer have 12v so i don't know whats going on or why its not sending fuel maybe i have bad injectors or something i don't know. any suggestions? i would like to hear from The Doc on this one. i would like to talk to him on the phone or threw pm or something because i know he went through something similar. thatks
btw..if you disconnect the harness at the injector and check to see if you have a ground on both...ya know see if you have a short.. possibly without the ground the ecu wont send out the 5v
