Aside from a slightly different 5th ratio, they are the same unit.

The -SE trans (also the FC N/A trans) has a vent dongus on the driver's side that WILL interfere with the oil cooler line, on 12A cars equipped with the beehive oil cooler.

This is easily remedied with a 10mm socket.

Other than that, yeah, same **** except a much worse 5th gear ratio. The huge 4-5 drop makes highway driving a pain, and severely shortens 5th gear's synchronizer life.

- Pete (have FC N/A trans, lost the 5th gear synchro in 2 miles of spirited driving, Tranquil has it on tape , that was about 6,000 miles ago, SYNCHROS ARE FOR WUSSES)
