And also is to be referred to as the unicorn sticker. EVERYONE but DD wants one (cause 1980 did not have.) And that's a shame if u ask me.

His is a 1981 I suppose. It's a little confusing I know. But I think i would rather have the actual sticker year for my car. I have a 1982 and I am running with a 1985 sticker. I don't have a problem with it.

FYI - the stickers listed Mazda's Manufacturer's Championship wins all the way from 1980 through 1987. I still have an original sticker on the rear hatch glass of my 1988 fc that lists all 8 consecutive wins through 1987.
"The Mazda RX-7 has won more IMSA races in its class than any other model of automobile, with its hundredth victory on September 2, 1990. Following that, the RX-7 won its class in the IMSA 24 Hours of Daytona race ten years in a row, starting in 1982. The RX-7 won the IMSA Grand Touring Under Two Liter (GTU) championship each year from 1980 through 1987, inclusive."
You young guys can trust me that this is all true. I personally attended several of those IMSA races and have been cheering on the rotaries since the early 80's.
If anyone wants to see what an original of the last sticker looked like just let me know and I'll post a pic of mine.
