Few questions...

I searched around a little, and havent got a solid answer for myself... Please help me out here, and I apologize ahead of time if this IS already cleared up in another post.

Basically I am slightly confused if my car is a gtu or not.

Its a 1990 and on the fender it says gtu...

strange thing is that it doesn't have the turbo II brakes, and it has a sunroof, everything else match description... can anyone help me out with this one?

and the VIN on the dash board is JM1FC3310L0709698...

on the firewall it shows
--------(m) 0L-----------
JM1FC331XX0709698

Under the two X i can make out 2K is that normal, or is that factory corrected, or someone messed with the car before?

the M looks like a Mazda stamp.

I really hope for it to be a GTU but ... I dont know, maybe its just GTU fenders? -=(...

Please help me clear this up a little. Thanks.

Likely, a car bought back from the factory and restamped and sold as a 90 model instead of a 89.

Good news and bads....

First the good news, it's a GTU.
The bad news....it's a 1990 GTU.

The 89 and later GTU was really just the base model.

So I just got a regular common rx-7 eh....

so why do I read somewhere that certain year / trim is rare? aka on ebay it says that 1990 gtus are only numbered in the 100s... on one of the 10ae ebay seller?

GTUs is the special model. gtus was probably used as the plural form of GTU in the ad or he was just misinformed.
