im getting a 48IDA weber from mazdatrix, and was wondering if the jets in that carb would let a stock port 12A good? the jetting is
37mm chokes
F7 Tubes with 120 Air
135 main (fuel) jets
120 Idle Holders
70F10 Idles

While this won't give you the exact parts needed for your stock port, it may give you an idea if you are in the ball park or not. Personally, for a stock port, I would be going for a side draft 45 mm DCOE or a Mikuni 44PHH. The IDA's are more of a race breed than street bred carb.
i already have a 48ida manifold though. so i need to make it work somehow, or re-sell this new (not used) manifold.
are you interested in it? i will sell for $200. i paid $269 at mazdatrix.
i want to do this fast, because i need to get the rx7 to my house.

As much as I would like to have a 48 mm IDA to play with for the 12A 1/2bp, I already have a couple other carbs to test out on the engine before I pull it for the TII swap and put the engine up for sale.
An IDA will be an expensive waste for a stock ported motor. They also have absolutely no choke, so it will be a pain in the *** to start whenever it is moderately cold. They are extremely sensitive to fuel pressure, so be prepared to get a fuel pressure regulator and dial the pressure down to around 3 psi. Make sure you get one with a relief valve that you can hook up your stock return line to the tank. You will have to put small chokes and jets in it to give it decent street driveablility. They are best when mounted with an isolator, but only the shortest Redline Weber air cleaner assembly will fit under a stock hood without making contact, and sometimes a little bending is required even with those. Used IDAs are often worn out, and new ones are typically over 500 bucks. As always, anytime you mess with the fuel system, be sure you go over it several times before running it in anger because you will be adding several fuel connections which are great spots for small leaks. With a carb cantilevered out over a hot exhaust manifold, a small fuel leak can turn into a BIG fuel fire in the blink of an eye and your car WILL burn to the ground. Good Luck.
I have been daily driving a 48IDA on the street for many years now, and it is awful in the winter time. It is a real pain cold starting the car and getting thru that first minute of running if I leave the car out in the cold overnight - it needs to stay in a warm garage.

nope, all thats gotta be changed, along with the needle valve(you need a bigger one) and thge acc. pump sqirters need to be bigger along with a zero bypass pump jet, but mazdatrix already knows this, they just wanna sell you the carb.. to jet will run you another $200.00...
