Igniter question (searched a lil but didn't find what I was looking for)
Basically what I need to know is which prong on the back of the igniter is for which wire because I think I found some wire conectors that will fit right in to those small holes (I already have the GM con mod to replace it). I'd rather not gut the stock igniters cuz I know they're pricey to replace but in case I have to does anyone have a link to or any pics of how to do that.

gutting it is easy, just make sure its bad first!
step 2 is popping the aluminum cover off the back, and this will reveal a jelly filled transistor, and remove that, and solder wires between the pins, and you're done

Yeah as far as I know mine are both good I just want to upgrade mine on the leading side. Any idea which prong on the back (shinney side) goes to which wire?

Ok so I guess I'm buying a soldering gun and gutting a good igniter unless someone is willing to send me one for the price of shipping. I would be willing to pay a lil for one that's already gutted and soldered or trade a good not gutted one for one that's been gutted and soldered.

Thank you sir. Now I just need a soldering gun. It's kind of a shame to destroy a good one though especially when a good used one probably goes for about $50 and a new one is probably twice that.
Don't bother. Too much work. Just file down a couple of male quick disconnects until they fit snug in the plasic dizzy connector. Then shove them in. I do this and they never fall out on their own.
Another option is buy the correct connectors. .110 should be right.
I stopped gutting ignitors when I ran out of dead ones. Had to find an alternative. This one works.

If you look closely at the black side of the J109 ignitor you should see + and - marks opposite the pins that plug into the distributor. + is on the outside, - is toward the center.
