Give us some details on the car. What trim (GSL, GSL SE, GS, etc.), and what mods have been done, such as rat's nest removal and stuff like that...

What's the matter Kentetsu, you can't read his mind and guess the data he omitted with what he posted? c'mon!

/sarcasm

Rolf's 7, like Kentetsu said, now and in the future include all the pertinent data in your postings if you're gonna ask for help. And for christ's sake, at least put the full model in your public profile!

As trochoid once stated, the crystal ball is out for cleaning.
A couple basic details would be essential to assist here.

Did the problem start "by itself" or right after doing any work in the engine bay?

well....i think after the TB mod but im not sure since i dont drive it all the time.. it runs fine. revs fine and i just smoked a 5.7 mustang 2day ...he was gettin annoying by reving at me so i reved back and we went...it was probly a waist of my gas but o well..anyway after i did the tb mod i put it back 2gether drove it and it felt fine. but i cant remember if it did this after the tb mod. thats why i thought it was the tps the only other thing i could think of is im running some mmo through it. could that cause it???

Well sorry, not familiar enough with the SE system intake or the tb mod. I did find a bunch of info doing a search myself, so I suggest you do the same, perhaps varying your search terms. By logic process alone, tracing the last change in the car that is related with the problem should narrow down the area to look into. Other than that, rx7doctor or longduck are your men.

The infamous T/body mod. **** the Se has enough idle problems without touching it. More than likely the throttle plates got screwed up and are sticking. Hopefully you did not touch the main plates. First thing to do is see if it is binding. when it is at idle manually close the throttle and see if the idle goes down. I'm assuming that the cold start assist has been removed for "Cleanliness"?

You need to go back thru the T/Body mod step by step and see where you went wrong.
This mod should only be done on 2nd gen T/bodies. The Se T/body and idle system is way too tempermental for screwing with. Besides updating the Se intake with the S4 intake and using the
S4 t/body is way more efficent for flow.
The Se T/body is TOO SMALL!
After you go back thru the mod and checked everything. if you are still having problems feel free to Pm me but remember to send large quantities of Advill, lol.

The 2nd gen 86-88 will fit. You can get them from Auto Zone and other parts places. A comp[any called Spectre makes all kinds of aftermarket stuff to do your own CAI. If you want pics of what i did on my Se,Pm me with your email address.
