Identifieing porting?

If I take off the headers, will I be able to see the exhaust ports at all?

Is the question whether you can see the ports, or what porting modification if any you have?

Both, the point in being able to see the ports is to be able to identify what level of porting, if any, has been done. Based on the car running pretty damn fast, yet to test at a track, but pulls away from a 15s car, we think, I'd like to confirm that some level of porting has been done, and ifso, howmuch. Ala, mild or large streetport, etc.

I suggest you either measure the port or even better tace it then compare with a template such as those sold by Racing Beat.

There are quite a few threads on porting so it will be easy to identify what you have. If its less than a bridgeport it will be a case of working out where in the 'streetport' range the specs are.

Checked various sites for photographs and explainations you could have a look at. Try www.mazdarotary.net left screen go to technical and scroll to porting, its a usefu start.l
