"rotary 16 valve overhead cam" ???????
Ok, I can see your new to the rotary world. I would suggest using the SEARCH button. Not to be rude or anything, but its your best friend when your a noob. I would say buy it. With the somewhat low miles and new tires, with only problems (so far) being a battery, I would say offer $2000 and see what happens. But deffinately don't pay any more than the $2500 asking price.
As for the statement I quoted above, the only word we use out of that statement is rotary. An RX-7 doesn't have 16 of anything, it doesn't even have valves, doesn't have a cam, and technically doesn't have a cylinder head either. There are no cylinders. Its considered a 2 rotor rotary engine. The one in the car mentioned is called a 12A engine. It has a displacement of 1146cc (1.1L), or 71 cu in. It makes 101hp and 107ft lbs of torque. It doesn't sound like much, but its enough to make the car more fun to drive than most other cars out there short of a porsche or ferrari.

Well, the only suggestion I can make is BE CAREFULL!!! I talk from experience here. I payed $500 for my RX-7, and I ended up putting close to $3000 into it, and it still don't run right. If the car runs pretty smoothly when you buy it, its probably not going to give you too much grief. I'm just warning you that you will have problems, and you WILL have to learn just about everything from this forum. Most other sources are useless (ie. Haynes manual, chiltons is worse). This is unless you know someone that knows a considerable amount about rotaries.
BTW, I'm canadian so those are canadian dollars.
