Upgrades

I just bought a 1980 RX-7 and I have to say it's the most fun I've ever had with a car. Anyways, I'm looking to upgrade it but don't know where to start. I want to start little and go from there. I was thinking about a cold air intake. What should I do? Thanks

in response to your question, there is thread of updating a stock rx-7 you should search for. it has much info. as far as a cold air intake goes, you would have to custom make one, because NO ONE makes one for the 7. Pratch and Rx7carl have a makeshift, yet effective CAI setup on their site under tutorials <http://www.mazspeed.com>. but yeah, best advice i can give you is to use the SEARCH button. haha just playin, we were all noobs at one point. i know i was.

Before you go off and buy a header and exhaust decide what you want to do with the car. Do some searching. For instance if you decide to go turbo that header you just bought will be a waste of money.

Your going to find there are many ways to extract HP from you engine. You need to set a goal and work towards it that way. Good luck...

oh yeah sorry, Welcome to the Forum. didn't mean to come off as an ***! And Seanrot is right, set a goal for yourself. I have goals, but no money.

BTW: Money is also an essential!
