Unhappy I need the windshield trim for my car!!

I was crusing down the freeway and BAM! The top windshield trim flew off and almost took the side trim piece with it. I duct taped it in place for now, but the trim on the front windshield is missing on the top, and it looks ugly. I think the black goopy stuff finally gave way. Anyone have extra pieces to sell??

Thanks,
Matt

Is that everyone's answer? Buy it from a junkyard or even a racer.. I think I've got a spare trim piece sitting around somewhere, but it'll be a little while till I can make it down to the garage to get the parts.. keep asking around or put an ad on www.thepartstrader.com, or a racing board, there's tons of people with parts cars on race car boards.

The trim shouldnt be hard to find, but the clips that hold it on were a bitch for me to find Finally got them from a local auto-glass place by ordering them and they were expensive !

try these links

http://www.mazdarecycling.com/index.html
http://www.revolutionrotary.com/ (i was talking to skip and tim today and they said they had a 84 or 85 gsl se to part)

If that fails then email

Ernstborchert4@hotmail.com

Good luck if you can get it there, then It dont exist

i am right with you do0d. when i had to do my body transplant, the only resonably good condition sa that i could find didnot have any of the window molding on it.. looks ugly as hell. i need to find it cheap somewhere (i cannot afford to order all new trim from victoria british) and replace it.

Now that I think about it.. Do you people on here OWN Victoria British or something? Cause that's about all I hear, and it's not exactly the best answer "Buy it new from Victoria British, it only costs $35.00 for a new one, but an old one from a junkyard will cost you $3.00"

hey, it's your car. $35 for new or $3 for a used piece that looks just like that. I don't give a hoot about Vic British, it's just that they have new pieces of trim and my car is in better condition than when I bought it new in 1980. I like to keep it that way.
To each his own.
just my opinion,
hanman

Update

I found the pieces i need.. One problem though.. The previous owner had glued them in place with some black caulking stuff. Thats what gave away.. Now i know there should be clips holding it.. I don't have the clips. Anyone have the clips they could sell me?

Thanks,
Matt
