I need quick help

Some friends of mine are checking out an FB 4 hours from home. On the test drive the lights lit at about 5k rpm and the car died. It threw the alternator belt. Can they replace it quickly on the fly? The guy's got another FB too - would they be able to pop it off the other FB and place it on this one relatively soon? They're running out of daylight and want to test-drive it. How tough is the alt. belt?
