Unhappy I need help, i'm confused

Hey guys i finally got my 1980 rx running good but i just want to know if my car will be alright. I just want to know if i should hook anything back up or if it will be ok. Lets see, i took off my air pump and tapped my actuator inlet and outlet shut, and i took off the rats nest and tore a bunch of stuff off of the carberator. I just want to know what i should look out for or what i should do because my car from 3rd,4th, then into 5th hesitates at 4,000 rpms, i thought it was the fuel pump but i replaced it and its still doing it, and now she puffs a little blue smoke hear and there but not all the time, what do you guys think i really love this car and i need it, i just need help i am new at first gens.

hmm... my bet- clogged thermal reactor. (assuming you have stock exhaust for an 80)

Fuel filter, maybe?

tune up? - plugs, wires, etc.

Yeah it does have the stock thermal reactor, it does have a tune up as well, and a new fuel filter, its alright for it not to have the air pump right? Should i try taking the tape off of the actuator tube inlet and outlet. Also if the thermal reactor is pluged up is there any easy ways to un-plug it?

I just got done un-tapping the inlet for the actuator and it runs a little better, noticably, anyway after i shut the car off taking it for a little spin, i noticed about 3 sec afterward a poof noise occured so i do think that thermal reactor is plugged up, so does anyone have any helpful hints on how to unplug it or is just shot.

buy an rb header. Get one used, they are cheap and they last forever. I was told not to remove the emmissions before getting rid of the TR also, i'll try to find my post about that mess.
