I need 3 cars

damn!! I have had this car now for almost a year (my second first gen" and I thought i had decided to make it into a light weight highway mile killer...something with a top end of about 150mph.

now that i have the interior all apart i see how easy it would be to add bracing to make me a targa or convertable...i even had the idea of chopping the wind screen and making my self a speedster...

augh the decisions!!!

maybe a poll will help!

Being a fan of the old Porsche 550 spyder I have to say speedster. I think it would look great and be great at car shows.

Do you have a drawing? Or maybe, could you photo-shop a pic of what the Speedster might look like? That sounds like a "very interesting concept". The 550 rocked!

I would draw it, but I can't even draw a stick person very good. I just have a vision in my head of what it would look like and I think it would look great. Would kinda look like a Miata just with a shorter windsheild and longer rear end without the top and a little more angular.

I think the speedster would look pretty cool.

A speedster would be unique, and would likely look good. The 1st gens have the right lines for that sort of thing.

ok, so i did a few sketches, and it turns out that are cars dont translate well to the speedster, if the windshield could be moced back on the body it would look better, but as it stands, when you just have the windshield, it kinda looks a little funny...so i may change my vote to "light wieght race car"

does anyone agree/disagree with my analysis?

Well, my image of the speedster included the wrap around windshield. But now that I invision the standard windshield just cut down a little, it doesn't look too great. Oh well, can't look any worse than the Dodge Charger speedster concept of 1970 or something like that. That think looked neat in its own way, but just silly overall.

If you're just going to cut the stock window down, definitly go with the lightweight car option instead. The speedster idea would only work if you fully choppped the front window off and designed a new one.
