Question waterpump replacement

how much can a good one be purchased for? how hard is it 2 install (13b)? i have reason 2 beleve it's leakin but a lil i havent gotten ne bad signs of overheating yet (knock on wood) but when my car was in the air i saw some coolant leakin from the front lower plastic thing (whatever it's called) ne way any advice would be much apriciated thnx

Some of the replacements use a different impeller style, and can experience cavitation sooner.

I agree, better in this cast to pony up the dough, and buy a genuine mazda part. MazdaTrix, has them for $51.03. As far as installation, it really isn't that hard, but does take some time.

Sorry to hijack but is the swap of a 13b on to a 12a a straight swap I've heard of it done u loose about 7 lbs they say. So wut I'm askin is it easy to do .

yea it's easy to do all u need is the gsl-se front cover, oil pan, and i think that's it not sure if there's ne thing else required

I can't see it being too hard to do. Everything else I have done to my own car was easyer than anything else I have ever worked on. Changed a carb for a good one in 15 min, took the rad out in 30 min, Probably get the exhaust mani out in 1 hour or less. I don't see why it would give any problems.

Yeah, 1000 posts baby! And I've still only driven my car for a week in total.
