I Love Widebands!!!!!

Airflow is my life
Jon, the LM-1 (349 USD$) looks like a really good setup, especially for the price. Its not equipped with bells and whistles for an EFI car which makes it a really good unit for us. You could use a narrowband like Im using now. Cheaper but more limited in its accuracy and function. Look in the tech and performance section about the LM-1. They sold me. And they are tuning boosted hi-po cars with it.

yea, the R series is amazing. i have the m-500. the m-300 costs 340.00 shipped to your door and is your basic setup.. the read out display controller, wire harness, and bosch sensor. plug and play baby. no bells and no damn whistles. the lm-1 is also a great deal. i just like the display so much better on the plx setup.
OH and here's an update. i drilled out bigger jets and leaned out the idle a little. it has a lean spot when accellerating, but that could be fixed with the accel pump adjustment. only running 7psi it's staying steady at 12.5 which is too lean to my specs. lol, sooooo looks like i'm up for something different MUHUAHHAHAAAA! it's WELDING TIIIIIME!

There are many reliable wideband setups out there.
The civic has a PLX M300, and it has a very nice digital display and is great for a/f tuning on the fly.
www.plxdevices.com
The Rx7 has a zeitronix ZT-2 with display. You get rid of all of your gauges, it displays boost, EGT, A/F, RPM, and has user inputs to do TPS and whatever you want really. This is a great way to get rid of all the gauges and the price is AMAZING. $290 shipped to your door, with the software, and another $150 for the bad *** display.

Also another choice is the AEM wideband, FJO wideband, Techedge, and a few other DIY. Search for them, they all have websites. The AEM is nice because it has a very nice gauge that fits in the gauge pod, so does PLX. Plx even has a converter that will turn your narrow band a/f gauge into a wideband display for $40 using any of the PLX controllers.
Almost all of the widebands have a 0-5 volt wideband output for standalones and also have 0-1 volt outputs for narrowband simulation, so you don't have to put your narrowband back in.
Over all widebands are the best way to tune a car for cheap!
Oh and when tuning a street car, keep it around 11.8 -12, too risky with changing weather conditions to go higher. Also keep an eye on the timing.

You should sell your carb setup and go EFI, FBII.
I tried to sell the setup I was going with, but nobody wanted to pay what I wanted, so I'll stick with it..
There's a real nice holley setup that'll be great turbo'd.. Elysian mentioned it in previous posts about it. I don't have the link handy.
I think the new MSII unit supports widebands directly, and the sensors themselves are pretty cheap. $80-90 right?

The sensors them self are $60 for the bosch LSU4, I have a 6-port holley setup for sale right now as well.
I am running megasquirt in my rx7, and I am going to use the zeitronix in it and simulate narrowband for cruising and then run the wideband output for tuning.

see, if i had a 13b i would just get the stock manifolds and run a stand alone. bam.. DONE. but i have the awesome 12a. my problem is manifold and throttlebody, then getting fuel rails to fit and injectors set up. ugh.. it's all so expensive and i've already gone through so many buying processes. i would LOVE to have F.I

If you had a holley TB setup, if you ever wanted to upgrade to 13b turbo, you could VERY easily. Just ebay the 12a mani, and buy the 13b one.. The rest is plug and play, reset your maps and viola..
This is the link I was talking about earlier: (thx Elysian)
http://www.auto-nomics.com/cgi-bin/s...rt=10850-002-D
You will need other things, so dont' think you can get away with JUST buying the $75 TB..
My cost estimate was ~$375 for the complete deal, minus injectors and air cleaner assembly.
Includes machining costs for TPS and the IAC, and the TPS and IAC themselves, rails and the 'air cleaner adapter'. A very good setup, almost half the cost of an IDA setup from tweakit. Holds 4 injectors, according to what the owner has told me about it, you can use the stock rx7 injectors. Add a carb hat for your turbo and it's a done deal. Actually, if you have a set of injectors, or can get some used ones cheap, it should be cheaper than a carb setup.
