I know I'm asking for it...rim question

I'm in the process of looking for some new rims since my FB came with the steel ones. Looks like maybe someone painted them, but still they don't look so good.

I've been toying with the idea of putting on some cheapo hubcaps to dress up the wheels until I get different rims. These have brand new tires on them, so I'm really not in any hurry either. Has anyone tried any of these hubcaps? I put some on my wife's old Accord long, long ago and they looked OK. I'm not talking about the fake chrome spinner style, just something that looks a bit better that what you see above. Maybe something like these?

I know it will be hard, guys, but take it easy on me, I'm new around here, lol

I seem to remember painting spirals on steelies many years ago. Hypnotize the other street racers.

You should be able to find a set of stock + wheels quite cheaply or even free. I can buy them from the wreckers for 10 bucks a piece.

I'm sorry...stock "+" wheels? Meaning the aluminum wheels? I'll have to check the yards then, didn't think they'd be THAT cheap. I see them for sale and have posted in the classifieds, but shipping would be the killer there. I just thought I might give this option a try until something good came along. Again, I'll try the local yard, and thanks for the advice!

Off topic have you tried to wax that car yet. The body looks perfect and the paint is just ashy. Epecially on red cars if you follow the right steps you can make it look brand new. Ill try and find a link for you. Nice 7

That's SALT. This guy lives in Ohio (and I live in neighboring Michigan). Right about now, it's -3 degrees F outside, we've had snow every day for the last week, and the trucks have dumped enough salt that everything looks white and crusty.

I agree that the car looks nice.

You asked for it, you got it, the wheel that makes a 7 a 7:

You should be able to get a reasonable good original set for less than $100, probable even with shipping if you find a member with some extras (I have 5 sets for my three operating 7's, some members talk about recycling them for the aluminum).

Do that pretty car a favor! (In the mean time, those steel ones look pretty cool)

Thanks guys. I'll just keep looking. As far as the paint, there really is no rust on the car, but I am going to paint it this spring anyway. There are a lot of scratches you can't see in the pics. I'll probably stick with red, but those tired looking wheels just won't do with a fresh red paint job.

W0rd! The salt on the roads in Ohio is like loose gravel.

Don't I know it. My wife spun out Thursday and slid into a ditch yesterday morning. NOT due to snow or ice, but so much salt on the roads.
