boosted street car

oh, and putting these in was a huge pain in the ***.

if anyone wants to try and copy this, substitute two of the guages for 2-1/16 sizes, it will make it fit a lot better.

heres how I saw it.

I got the really life/death guages above the steering wheel, engine temps and pressure. and they are mechanical for full sweep accuracy.

below the CD deck I will have the less important guages like the speedometer (the most expensive and most useless guage of them all) plus volts, fuel pressure and level and then one more that I havent decided yet.

Im still working on the turn signals. I got a nice sqaure-inch on both sides of the main guage cluster, but I have no idea how Im going to do it, the wiring is easy, but its got to look good too.

Im thinking of cutting a small arrow on there and then mounting a light behind it, hmmm, anybody know of universal turn signals

fit one of those cheap mountain bike trip computers ... you only need it to read up to 50 and you can mount the pick up on the propshaft near the gearbox ... just needs a bit of maths to get the correct constant to put into the box o' tricks and hey presto you get a fancy digital speedo on the cheap ... most of them will do average speeds, elapsed time on journey etc, etc. !

i have been researching (getting prices anyway) this same thing... i was at a hot rod show the other day and there was the most beautiful looking 67 camaro, 728 hp @ 6,200rpms.
he had all his gauges done beautifuly, well i was going to bite his idea minus all the damn nitrus switches, the diff. between yours and his is that he had his tach and speedo where all of your guages are, the rest of the guages were in the center column. i personaly like to see how fast im driving. but your setup looks very nice!
