I HATE Rx7's!!!!!

Hi all, Im the guy with the SE that was flooding. I have since removed all the fuel injection and bolted on my new webber 48 ida. STILL WONT START!!!!! I have pulled the plugs, did ATF, Im getting spark, starter fluid is the closest Ive got. I fired for about 5 seconds and it keeps flooding!! I even cut fuel out of the equasion and I still have wet plugs. Could there really be THAT much gas in the bottom of the motor? Any one want to buy an 84 GSL-SE with tokico illuminas, eibach springs, new 444 rear end and a webber 48 ida? It just wont start, Im sure some of you have the patience to deal with it. It even has polished alluminum 15x7 wheels. Of course to break even with all the BS I have had to deal with I will need like $2500 out of it. What a pile of crap, I guess I dont have the passoin any more.

Have you tried pulling it down the road to clear out all the fuel? Sometimes that's the ONLY thing that will work.
Sorry to hear of your troubles, but don't give up on it yet. -WG

Sorry guys, Im not THAT dumb. I am using a Holly Blue. About 10psi and 110 gallons per hour. Im just a dumb ****. I figured it out. When I was checking spark, I just grabbed the trailing plug wire. So after beating my head on every thing, I checked the leading, and sure enough, no spark. Pulled the wire out of the distributor and checked the coil, still no spark. Traded coils since the other on had massive spark. Still no spark on the leading. So whatever powers the leading coil is not working. I was told its those two little boxes on the side of the distributor. I just happen to have 2 distributors on the shelf. So hopefully after I change that, I will have spark and the bastard will run like a raped ape. Sorry for flipping out guys, just been working on this off and on for about 3 weeks. Later

I'll give you $101, since it has a newer old ignitor now.

Good luck w/the ignitor (small box on the sides of the distributor).

By the way I hope you got a nice fuel pres. regulator on that puppy.

Yeah, I don't think you want to run more then 5psi on the weber or it will start to flood over easily.

Hey cody, i think your car should see a dentist.. it has a serious underbite j/p

Yeah, you only want to run ~4-6Psi on a weber.. Lower the fuel pressure and that will also help..
