congradulations, and i respect that your happy, but i really am scared of the idea of kids, i dont think i could handle it. so i really respect you for it. of course im only 18 now, so maybe the idea will appeal to me late on.

Thanks for everything guys! The kid will be a rotorhead for sure.

I know its OT, but the 1st gen forum is my "home" and I wanted my fellow 1st gen owners to know.

Im 29, and trust me perfect circle, when I was 18 I was also afraid of having a kid or getting someone pregnant. Is perfectly normal.

Lets hope "the wife" does not make me sell the 7 to get a 4 door car I will resist! I can always store the 7 till the kid is 18

congrats , kids are one of the top two best things in the world to have. The other well you make up your mind on that one. Kids are really fun to have around once they get out of the zombie baby mode.

That's really awesome! Awesome to the MAX!

My only real motivation for getting out and getting my education and a good job is because I want to have a family someday.

Well, its something I only just realized. I'm glad it wasn't too late for me to stop slacking off.

That's the more realistic of my motivations. Becoming a legend and leaving a legacy is another one. At least I can achieve the legacy part through offspring.

Congrats man. Your life will never be the same, but you won't mind one bit.
I have 2 kids myself, a daughter that is now married, and a 14 year old son. They have both been plotting ways to get my car........

I have 2 9 boy 7 girl. Greatest thimg in the world. Don't let anybody tell you what to do. Do what's best for your kids, cuz there is no owners manual like there is for your 7.

Best of luck and just remember to take all the time possible with your child. Make everything a learning experience for him/her... Encourage any and all questions and curiousities by always doing your best to explain everything. If you cannot explain it straight away include them in the search for the answer.

But again most importantly give all the love you have to the whole family do not neglect your relationship and remind your wife of the same.
