Mike, you need to swing buy sometime and just see how close they are. They bolt on pretty damn good. I am probably going to end up getting a set of 15*7 centerlines (or some other decent looking cheap rim for a fox musatng) and then running 225/50*15 drag radials for on the street. The 26*8.5 slicks only rub on the drivers side (damn car has the 1st gen drivers side lean action goig on pretty good). Going to try a few spring spacers to try an fix that.

I did take it around the block a few times Was pretty cool to be able to hook from a roll.

So is that bolted onto the 4X110 mm pattern? I'm thinking this because you had the stock 13's on a few pics before.

Yea, it is bolted on to the 4*110 pattern. The mustang uses 4*108 which is pretty darn close. 1mm on each stud is not that bad. I am holding them on with the stock bolts and have put a few miles on them and they are still holding tight. I will switch to some studs before summer gets here (and hopefully a narrowed 8.8 or 9").
I figure once I get a set of rims that I like( a 15*7" made for a fox mustang..cheap) I will just make up a template and do some slow and carefull grinding and open up that 1mm on each hole. Also going to check on having some tubing turned so that it will sleve on the hubs to make the rims hubcentric like stock. That will take pretty much all the weight off the studs and use them only for holding the rim to the hub.

What causes that drivers side lean anyways? I've seen a few 1st gens with that same lean to them, wtf?

Hang on, let me suit up

The engine is a junkyard ford 2.3 turbo. Unrebuilt bottom end, stock turbo, gn front mount intercooler. Boost set at 18#. Running a t5 5-speed trans. Car went 8.46 @ 84.5mph in the 1/8th (about 13.20 at around 106-107mph in the 1/4) on the real old 13's tires. Going by the mph and weight of the car it is putting down around 250hp at the wheels now. With some drag radials it should be deep into the 12's with a few more mph.

Then I am going to but 75-100 shot of nitrous on it and see how fast it will go . I have a much better 2.3 waiting to go in once this one blows up and bigger turbo and a large NPR intercooler.

4x110 hubs and 4x108 wheels ???

I shudder to think about that. YES 1mm makes a hell of a difference! You'd putting an insane side load on the lugs, and it's not doing the wheels any good either. I hope you're checking the torque on the lugs before each and every time you drive the car!

The hub center has nothing to do with it. You're putting an immense side load on the studs because of the tapered seat. I don't have time to do the math now but the numbers will be quite gruesome.

Incidentally, even on hub-centric wheels, the hub does nothing more than pilot the wheel before you tighten down the lug nuts. After the lugs are tightened, the wheel is held in place entirely by the tension on the lugs. Same with rotors - the lugs don't keep rotors from spinning on the hub, it's entirely the friction between the hub and the rotor, caused by the tightened lugs.

Here area couple pics of the motor that is going into the car. It was putting down around 330 to the wheels when it was in my mustang. And I have since added larger valves and a reground camshaft.

Here it is in my mustang.

It ran pretty decent in my much heavier mustang
http://members.sigecom.net/randyh/goodpass.wmv

As for the rev range, I shift it at 5800rpm on the 1-2 and 2-3 and 6200 on 3-4.

A Turbo'd 5.0 is going to put down some serious power. I'd be worried if I were him.

Cool, what have you done to the car? Weight? Can you list the whole timeslip?
Even if your car weighs around 2200# with driver you are still putting down around 210hp at the wheels and 244hp at the flywheel to trap 84-85mph in the 1/8th That is pretty darn impressive.

I really need to take some wieght out of mine, when I ran it had everything that was in it from the factory. spare tire, 3/4 tank a gas, floor mats, everything. Hit the scales at 2500# even in this setup without me in the car. There is a couple other 2.3turbo rx's and they have gotten them down to around 2100# with driver
