hp question...

I'm in a hurry or I would be using the search option but I want to ask a newbish question...

What is a fresh 12A capable of putting down with a 650 holley+manifold, black holley pump, RB headers+ 2.5" tubing to the tip, ignition wired open, elec fan...um there were a couple other goodies but I don't remember what they were...

Anyways, this is in an 89 body and the car is faster than my MKIII Supra...or in the quarter it is, on top of that he can't keep the distance on me. Either way, I was wanting to take on a project similar. I'm not pure-performance enthused, I;m mostly agrivated that every car I own will start up except the one I want to start (the S5). I'm just looking for mild performance mixed with reliabillity. ****...ranting...

Anyways, I'm going to be using a similar manifold as him with the 650 holley and pump, plus the other goodies he's got mentioned up there, but on a 13B block, I'm just curious what a 12A setup puts out, so I can kinna compare the two.

well unless you get soem type or port work done. I dont think you will be able to make much more then 150, this is assumign you spent the time tunning it nicely and all that jazz.

I think it's mildly ported...it was rebuilt and he went into a couple of things he done...I think he even mentioned 13B rotors but I don't know if that's even possible, I don't think he did but was just talking about "next time"...

But anyways...about 150 to the fly? That's pretty impressive for a 12A I would think, too bad he didn't keep it in the FB body (they're lighter, right?). So, starting on an S4 block I could expect at least about 25-30 more hp I think...hell, I dunno, I'll find out though.
