How's this look?

I tested my new scanner by scanning in a pic of the project FB from SCC. I wanna shave the bolt holes behind the taillight filler, but there are two big raised bumps there. I think it looks nice with everything gone off the car.

i think i've pinned down what makes wheels look ricey now the face of the wheel is flush with/sticks out further than the outer lip, so the wheels look like big ol' flywheels bolted to the hubs. yuck.

I think it would be sweet to mount the license plate where the center panel is, and smooth the bumper off to eliminate the current plate mount. I've seen euro-spec short/wide plates mounted that way, don't know if US-spec plates would work though, might be too tall.

The tag is too tall. I sat mine up there while I was looking for the bolt I dropped.

I don't like the 7 without the middle piece in between the tailights. Without it the smooth flow of the FB's body get cuts up. Just my 2cents

Project RX-7 1st-gen is even older than their FD project... I think they started on it in '97 or so?

I saw a project update thingy (updated ALL past & present projects) that showed there were four installments of the project, current state was "Dripping", and future plans were for Coleman to get off his duff and convert it to a fuel injected 13B setup. Enventually. Maybe.

I think they should just move away from smog-**** California and he should build up that 12A...

That project and the Miata project never went the way they implied it would. It's too bad, I ended up with the only 2 cars SCC could not make super fun. California Smog ***** ain't helping neither.

Apparently you can't make smoggable power in a GSLSE and good luch making over 250 horsepower in a Miata anywhere in the US.

btw, I think the missing side trim and badges on the rear look clean, but I would have left the center pice between the tail lights myself. Just be sure to have the area painted to match the car instead of it looking like black plastic in the middle of nowhere.

EDIT
LoL, it's official, everyone agrees, California is the Smog **** Capital!
