Probably more than whatever Rays got in there now

I have to say with my Dellorto, I just pulled the choke, wait for the pump to fill the bowls and hit the ignition. Fires right up and then I adjust the choke to about 1500 rpm and let it idle a few minutes and I'm off. Choke drops down or I push it in, depending on how its running.

One important thing that nobody has brought up so far is timing. If the spark timing is off a bit, the car can still run pretty good (good enough that you wouldn't notice anything wrong), but it will show up when trying to start the car. Sometimes it will be worse on cold starts, other times you'll have a hard time starting it when hot. Very important to make sure your timing is set correctly...

The cure all in cold weather = park her up on top of a hill.

I picked up a OPTIMA... Set me back $169 but the cold cranking amps (800) blew away any other battery of the same size by an average of around 200.

Well I must confess, I have used the hill technique. But the good news is that the White One is starting when I ask her again, on the same old battery. I probably was a little harsh with that MP5 slap.

So I gave her a bath and promised her a complete tune-up, timing included, and she seems to be happy.

Anyway, the White One Rises Again! Here's the video:

Guess mine has issues.

3 pumps on the gas. Full choke, starts right up, revs at 3k for about 10 seconds, then dies. Do it once or twice more, let it idle for about a minute and we're off.

When its warm, i just turn the key and it starts instantly. Like one spin and its already running, kinda freaked me out.
