I used to have some nice big ones when i still drove the BP.
Took it up to Max Rpm,and let off in 2nd gear.Would continue making flames all the way down to 4000 rpm. Then the one day the exhaust got really(even louder than normal) loud.I had blown the middle silencer...again!
It just splits right down the middle.
One of my friends said that the flames were 4-5 feet long, sometimes longer when i have been driving it hard, and the headers started glowing a bit.
ahhh-Good times!

i had a 12a, fully stripped, stock nikki, rb header, straight piped to a fart can, i could rev it to 7 at a stand still and it would throw a 5 foot fireball... deceleration flames were nuts.. sounded like an m80 going off. i miss that car.

Just do a hard run to the top of 3rd and let off the gas. IMO I do no think it is a backfire, seeing how backfires are a loud POP noise (well, when I think of a backfire, plus TRUE backfires are bad for a rotary). I always thought we got flames from the amount of unburned gas in the exhaust getting too hot and igniting.
Check out mine, no popping or loud noises, just more of a "fooooom" as the fire escapes.
