Sorry it's probably about the dumbest question on here. I bought a 79 Rx7 a few days ago. Leaking some fuel from Nikki and alot of air lines are corrodes and pulled off. So just trying to pull my carb off and replace lines. How do I remove the throttle cable from the Carb? I have everything disconnected, the carb can come off the engine but it's held on by the 3 cables near the firewall and I'm stuck. I tried loosening the nut and moving the cable out from underneath? I checked my Haynes and can't find anything along with a FSM.

 

There is a slot where the end goes. Ensure there is some slack and rotate the lug on the end so the cable aligns with the slot.

You don't need to remove the carb to replace the hoses.
