how to pull off the oil filler tube?

yes, like the topic states, i gotta get the oil filler tube off my 84 motor, which is in pieces... how do i do this? i don't see bolts or anything, do i just pull really hard? lol

If you can't get it to break loose with your hands then try wraping a cloth around it and using a pair of channel locks or a pipe wrench

you need to rent an oil filler tube assembly racheting 3 arm puller tool.

i found that one of those craftsman strap wrenches works really well. Tends not to mess up the finish.


Twist, pull, twist pull, repeat.

i got it off... the center housing was cold as all hell, so i took a grinder and grinded about 6 slots in the side of it, but not deep enough to go thru, just enough to heat it up and give it some relief, worked perfectly
