If it is a 6-port 13b you might want to think twice about spending the time and effort to port it, they generally dont respond aswell as the 4 ports to porting. Try and do a search on it.

You would need to get a dremel tool!

You would need some sort of rotary grinding tool with the correct shaving bit, and most likely the templates for the type of port you are doing.

mazdatrix.com has the porting templates for your GSL-SE motor.

It's the 84 6 port.

But you might need to replace the coolant seals because they usually break when you take the motor apart. Pretty cheap anyways.... mazdatrix sells those for like 6 bucks each.

www.selectmaz.com.au also sells porting templates. You'll need to e-mail them about it though.

porting is a dirty and time consuming job, but not very difficult as such. To know what you need, visit Mazdatrix page about porting and get templates. But a porting job does mean a rebuild, as you need to tear down the entire engine. It ain't easy to do a correct rebuild if you're a self-learned home mechanic (not impossible either, plenty of people on the forum have done it).
It'll at least cost you a seal kit, meaning all water seals, intake and exhaust gasket, o-rings... That ain't gonna sell for 6 bucks... And while tearing the engine apart, you'd better check all apex and corner seals, oil-seals...
Doing the job right isn't very cheap, and the results on a six port engine aren't very high.
It's worth thinking about it.
