How much is it worth

Im selling my '79 RX and I was wondering about how much I should ask for it. It has a bad transmission and needs ignition coils. Has a dent on the drivers side fender. Other than that it is in good shape. About how much do yall think I should ask for it? Any help would be really appreciated.

Pics would help out alot. It could be a $50 parts car, or a decent runner. Cant tell from just your description sorry.

bad tranny sounds like an excuse not to start the engine or drive it around....I say $50 parts car with about-to-die engine...

Throw a new set of coils or even a used set.. I'll ship you a set for $25, if the car doesn't run don't expect over $500....

But see, who'd want to run it with a bad tranny?? That's the caveat the emptor should be looking for...

I would buy a car if it RAN, but didn't drive.... As long as the motor is solid I.E runs up to redline and doesn't smoke on decel or accel, I would probably buy it I hav several trannies so that isn't a concern, But I have bought WAY TOO MANY "non running" "will run" cars.
