just to thread jack a little here...

Should I hold on to a 12A front cover to use on a post 85 13b into my car someday? Will it even fit onto a 13B? I'm thinking the only difference between the 2 motors are the widths of the rotor housings, right? If so, everything else should be the same? What about the oil pan? If you can't find a GSL-SE pan, can you retro a 2nd or 3rd geb pan to work in an FB?

If a 12A front cover isn't compatible with a 13B then I've got one for sale. As well as an ecc. shaft, inter. housing, rear housing, auto flywheel, and some other internals. I got the spare motor already apart due to it being blown and the seller just gave me the motor with the car. Don't know if any of this is any good or not but looks okay to me.

Anybody know about the 13b pan? (see my previous thread)

Oh yeah, and I meant 3rd GEN, not 3rd geb. =) Dang typos....

LOL, a 12A cover will fit a 20B (pay attention to your waterpump).

I imagine you would need better water & oil circulation for a 20B...

So it IS the exact same cover then. Call me crazy but I didn't know that. Cool!

Are water pumps different between 12A's & 13B's?

*Confirmed: My 12A front cover will NOT be sale (sorry). Now awaiting future 13B project!

What about the oil pans then? 1st gen 13B and 2nd gen 13B the same?

yeah i second the oil pan question... an fc pan won't work in a fb, correct?

my project is a S4 NA into my -SE, using SE electronics, injectors, and sensors.

totally ghetto, but it should fly.
