Went 121mph in the 1/4 on crappy street tires. And that is with a driver inculded weight of 2700#. (full interior, roll bar, 8.8" ford rearend and my heavy 220# ***)

Oh, and fitzwarryne, he isnt talking abot hustling at the track. He is talking about racing the stupid little ricers running around his neighborhood. He specifically said STREET RACES. Last I checked, that referred to racing people on roads, not the strip.
Oh, and the ultimate sleeper would not be an FB it would be the 12 second Mini-Van complete with soccer ball in the rear window. Look it up on Kazza or whatever you use to download, its some funny ****!

Granted that is a perfect run... but still, if you gut the hell outta the car, you can get very low 1/4 mile times with a lot less horsepower.

12 sec should be very good on the street, and with that, you even have room to sandbag others.
you don't blew by someone on street races!!, you take them a bumper or fender at a time.
btw, they'll here your BOV so that's not a very good sleeper, how recirculating valve instead?
- T3/t4 is too small, T5+ at least and use NOS to get it up to speed for the turbo, wet NOS too (direct port injection, is it doablt on rotory?)
- easier to do one for the strip cuz you'll need some serious bracing on the chessis/body, no? trailer bitch atleast you'll have a roll cage and no need for brakes

cheapo solution is to get the junkyard 12A, rebuild it with a home-ground big streetport, replace apex seals with new 3MM (2nd most expensive purchase...) cast iron apex seals, cobble a port injection nitrous set-up off of eBay, get a progressive nitrous controller from Jacobs or NOS (the most expensive purchase...), get the mandatory fuel pump and regulator from Mallory and Mallory alone..
..., have the carb rebuilt by carl or sterling for max flow since it has to look stock, and then weld the diff and axles together in the back...the launch will be relatively easy and then the controller will lay down the 250 shot as you go down the street right into the allegedly "innocent" bystanders who should know better, curse those pesky 12 yr.olds....
Since the goal is cheap, easy profitable kills, losing a junkyard engine every two or three passes shouldn't be a problem for the dedicated street racer...

Yea.. a good compression motor, ANY rotary... A good carb set-up, and a fatty shot of NOS... big time weight reduction but still maintain a stock apperance on the surface... = very fast car.
Very fast car = blown trannies, rearends, and motors.
Expensive considering it's just a hobby... but totally affordable.

Is there somewhere you listed your mods to the 2.3? I haven't seen it, if so. Maybe on TC.com - or turboford?

He's only selling you the engine that might be capable of those times...you'll have to spend that much again, at least, for everything else that can put that kind of power to the ground and survive. Plus you'll never know for sure of 11s or 10s until you take it to the track, and then you'll only get one pass and the track will tell you what has to be done for safety if it ever intends to see a track again with those kinds of times...

If you want the ultimate sleeper, get a stickshift minivan. My friends dad got an old ford stick shift minivan with a v8 in it. Its all crappy and has little exhaust and ****. It held its own against a new sunfire. It lost, but it didnt lose that badly. Take a stickshift minivan and mod it and u could win quite a bit. Its gotta be stickshift thou
