What do mean when you say blown rotor(apex seal??). I've seen a few 13bt's with bad apex seals and it wouldn't rev smoothly like the one in that video. Me and my friend did the same thing to a old starlet turbo back in japan just rev'd it up in the parking lot until the radiator hose blew and the engine died from overheating. We went back ten minutes later and started the engine and it idled like nothing ever happened. BTW it was a EP71 starlet turbo

love the braaaap
There was an old Safari van donated to my schools shop. It had one hell of a nasty knock though. Teacher said we could blow it up. The thing lasted 15 sec. We put it on a hoist to find two nice sized holes in the oil pan. On on each side near the front. We think it threw a connecting rod.
I've seen this movie before. Yes the back rotor is blown. As in all apex seals gone. It could run on one rotor, as long as it makes power to rev. It only needs a few hp to rev up. I thought the funniest part was when they found out that the exhaust was on fire. "Dude, your exhaust is on fire!!!!! Get the hose!".

You said the video was duplicated to be longer. How long did the motor last then? I thought this video was awesome. They should have left the radiator cap on and had a giant fan in front of the motor and then tried to see how long it woul last.

The guys and I took bets on a Festiva that had a blown head gasket, we all figured the thing would last a min. or two but after 13 min., it cought on fire and I had to take the jug of water off the gas pedal and douse it with a fire extinguisher(sp). The exhaust got the rear wheel wells on fire and the carpet. So much smoke while it was bouncing off the valve springs that traffic on the road out side our shop was stopping to tell us we had a fire....... as if the screaming pile of **** wasn't enough! If I ever rob a bank my get away car will be a pile of **** Festiva, we couldnt kill it! There is somthing to be said about blowing the crap out of a engine, everyone should try it at least once..... on purpose!
