Well I striped the front end...and next will be the engine bay it willall be painted while the engine is out and engine bay clean..

I was going to throw a FC oil cooler in but im still debating on that,I want to know what **** I can trash for weight reduction, since I found out I gained 15lbs in the last 2 months..

Theres a litthe hole on the passengerside by the lights..Im going to make air ducts in the valance and thinking of running a tube towards the air claner/carb from there..

I just want to loose **** I dont need..

What should I do..

i was reading a article in grassroots motorsports magazine which pretty much explained that its better to get rid of excess weight than to try and add extra hp...more efficient anyways. honestly if youre not going to use it ditch it. lighter is better!

definately, because reduced weight benefits the car in every single way, acceleration, braking, handling, gas mileage, it helps parts last longer as they dont have to do as much work, all around its the best thing you can possibly do

Me too. I just pulled out the wiring harness and I'm gonna re-wire it to the bare minimums. All that extra wiring is deceptively heavy!! I bet you I will chop out 20lbs doing this. Its a lot of work, but I say its worth it.

I was gonna leave the basic harness in, and remove all the unnessesary wires, but then I accidentally cut the wires to the brake lights. So then I had this HUGE tangled mess of wires, and just decided to rip the entire thing out. I'll just wire in the bare minimums: coils, push button starter, fuel pump, lights (from my flush mount setup, also for weight reduction), bright lights, brake lights, turn signals, tach, speedo, electric fan, oil pressure, engine temp, and a couple warning lights. That should be about all she needs. Rip out TONS of other crap, its unbelieveable how many wires there are just for the emissions and audio system. Rediculous.
