if everything is stock, you should be fine. make sure everything is in working order.

If your O2 sensor is more than 3 years old you could replace it, usually about $35-50. Also a good tune-up with fresh plugs wouldn't hurt. Just remember the O2 sensor really only works during steady cruise, but that's where you spend the most time--unless you're a city driver.

we tried to replace the o2 sensor but couldnt find it. we checked the manifold and exhaust but still couldnt locate it. also i think some one may have tampered with the air fuel screw so i was wondering how i know if its set right.

So you're carbed?

Then you have no o2 sensor.

the air/fuel screw only effects idle. if the carb is in working order then your air/fuels are fine.

My experience has shown,

Plugs and wires = 2 mpg gain
2GCDFIS = 2 mpg gain
Fuel filter = improved response/smoother
Quality Air Filter = 1 mpg gain
Synthetic trans and diff fluids + 2 mpg gain

4500 rpm shift point also reduces gas use, also fun factor though

Now acheiving 26 mpg in my daily driver.

Next is the Rast Nest removal.....
