Do you mean locked up, as in you can take it out of the engine and will not turn? Or are you referring to a "locked dizzy" as in a turbo setup? If it's the first question, that's simple. Take the dizzy out, and see if it will turn. If you are referring to a "locked dizzy" there are some pics in the archives under the the instrucions on locking the dizzy.

Yes im talking about for a turbo setup. I looked for the archive like you said but i coulnt find it.

well rx7s didnt come with them locked, so its only locked if you or someone else did it. You could take it apart and find out, or you can use a timing light and rev it up and see if the timing changes

yeah i tested it with a timing light light last night and the timing chansges when the engine is rev'd. So i guess now i need to know how to lock it? Any tips or threads i should know about?

I think thats a vacuum problem. Im not 100% sure on that one. we need the rx7 doctor and trochoid.

Disconnect the vacuum lines and plug them off at the manifold, leave the vacuum things on the dizzy open. Take apart the top of the distributor until you can see the weights and springs, leave the weights but remove the springs. When you put the dizzy back in line up the timing mark on the front pulley and put it in so the arrow on the rotor is pointing at the drivers seat.

so basically at lock my distributor i remove vaccum from the ditributor and remove the springs inside? ok not so bad.
I will try and see what happens.
