How do I get my brakes back?

I changed my front pads and now my pedal presure is lower than before. I must of bled the my brakes 3 times already and its still the same? Also why is there only 1 bleeder in the back? The car is an 83 GS.

Thanks, Ed

I suggest you buy a chiltons manual for it. You cold try bleeding it at the master . My guess is that you have air in the lie somewhere! that has got to be it , unless your master is going. Also, when you pressed the calaper in ...how hard was it to push? You did press the in didn't you?

Brake pads are often somewhat compressible until they are broken in. Drive it a while.

Yeah, drive it for a while and hope the act of bleeding the brakes hasn't stressed the piston seals to the point of bypassing internally or leaking. How old is the master cylinder?

Hmm, I'm not sure about the bypassing internally part, but definetly look for any leakage down by the pedals.

Theres no way you can put the calipers back on without compressing the piston. Also I have been driving for atleast 400 miles. Theres no leaks and no the car was not running when I bled the brakes. Does it have to be?

Thanks, Ed

Loaded calipers come compressed for easy assembly.
