How do I clean this (upper intake)?

I've read a lot of posts regarding the subject, and it looks like I use carb cleaner and a wire brush?? I want to clean the inside and outside, not polish it but get it real clean at least.

Could I used ATF to clean the buildup in the intake? I'm looking for something I can "bathe" it in, ie let it sit overnight and loosen up before I start scrubbin (that's how I used to clean the pipe back in the day ).

It's dirty as hell...

I used a my sandblaster to clean the inside and outside of mine. Then put a coat of ceramic clear on it.
